For me at least, that was a great trip into the past. Believe it or not that song was on our set list from early 1966 to 1969. We also recorded "Hideaway" by Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich as a "B" side to one of our singles. You have obscure taste Mitch.

Although I've never been a fan of the band, I've always enjoyed the fuzztone lead on 'Hold Tight'. In my estimation, of their better known tunes, 'Hold Tight' is the best, 'Hideaway' is okay, but 'Zabadak!' is so bad it's embarrassing.

As they are my home city band I feel I ought to say DDBM&T are still working and have just completed a tour along with Gerry & The Pacemakers, Wayne Fontanna, PJ Proby. Dave Dee also undertakes solo engagements, as also do the band without him. They divide their time between Britain and Europe where they still remain popular. The original Mick and Beaky have left the line-up some time ago and have subsequently been replaced. They no longer have a record deal, but remain a busy working band.
