Thanks, Gerry. I get a lot of information here but I do feel a bit intimidated by the vast knowledge of others. I just kick around in the basement but I love my 4 Ricks especially the brand spanking new 660/12 I got a year ago. I'll try to do better in posting. i do look for subjects where I can add some knowledge or experience. Jon

John, you've kind of encapsulated the RRF experience in your last couple of sentences...it's not only knowledge we share, but experiences. Going through the posts should show you that fact in spades. There's a limited amount of knowledge that we have, although it does grow steadily. But the experiences are new and ever-changing, and everybody enjoys a good story and a great guitar or bass.

Some of us don't know anything. I live under a rock in a cave and sometimes I'm pretty sure I have a tiny, deflated tetherball for a brain, dangling from my spinal cord, that warbles and bounces between my ears when I move my comically over-sized head- but even that doesn't keep my fingers from hitting those little keys. This is a great and safe place to experience the company of others, even if sometimes feeling a little intimidated by the enormous intellects and experiences.

I had already tried that, but the earliest on the last page was not my first - I haven't found the thread yet with my first post. Sometime when I have enough time....

Jeez...I actually made Page 1...

These new forum features are great - what a trip down memory lane. I've learned so much here from all the collectors, luthiers, historians, insiders, Wise Men/Women, incurable ric-o-holics, crazed fanatics, etc., etc. (fill in your own personal description HERE) over the past seven years. What a great place! Obviously, with under 200 posts I've done more "soaking up" of Rickenbacker knowledge than its actual dissemination :D

There's more than one way to score (just ask Shane). Obviously, one has a slight (but temporary) effect on the other.

I'm stoked that the RWC is finally over.... it means my old school chum in York will stop sending me garbage emails crowing about Wilko and the rest of the pommie team. All hail the Boks!!

Thank God the cricket season has arrived! :D
