This act whilst in my view relatively well known did not really set the charts alight, had only one hit in UK in late 60's and only 2 in US.

The act's albums tended to take well known songs and give them completely different interpretations.

This being an example.

A great version and my vote is in, Roy.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Having considered the clue, as well as listening to the song, I have submitted my guess. I have to say I think it is chronic. I prefer the version that was a hit in the UK.

Got this one Roy. The version I remember was by José Feliciano, and painful to recall as his style did not suit the song. While I agree that your artist's arrangement is disturbing, I still prefer it to Feliciano's.

No guess from me yet as I don't have any idea! Well... I know it's not Noel Harrison... and I'm pretty sure it's not REX Harrison... How am I doing so far?

P.S. It's not George Harrison, either...

I have no idea who is that, either. Good voice.
