Under pick guard?

Any body seen or have this under the guard on original 4001s?
Sus to if it is original.

Looks like someone tried shielding the cavity with aluminum.

Aluminum would not be your best choice for shielding...copper tape is better and readily available.

There are a few theories as to the reason for the masking tape on the backs of Rick guards. I'm quite sure that shielding is not one of them...
