Of those who entered BFTP17 55% correctly identified Vanilla Fudge, one of those you know or don't I think.
Thanks to those who do state "Don't know" it gives an indication that you do wish to play along, sure there are some who listen but if they don't know or don't wish to guess say nothing but gives no indication that they're interested.
Where has Mark gone from a very promising start he has either lost interest or is one of the afore mentioned, hope all is well.

Re: BFTP17
I had never heard that song before or else had forgotten about it. I'm a big fan of theirs too. I recognised the style and the voice, this was not representitive of their style very much anyway, Roy's amaster at throwing us off the scent. They were one of the most rockingest bands around. Shotgun, Take Me For A Little While, You Keep Me Hanging On, Break Song, all great tunes. I think Carmine Appice and Tim Bogert are one of the all time great rock rhythm sections.

Oh man, Roy, I'm sorry. I haven't been posting much at all lately. I never did hear it, but chances are, I wouldn't have known an odd Vanilla Fudge tune unless I researched a bit...which is what I probably would have done, would have learned something, and would have been grateful for Roy Clough again.
Most of my spare time lately has been devoted to songwriting. My version of a midlife non-crisis. With a backlog of something like 200 songs, I've decided to pick up the best of them and do the hard work of REwriting them, and taking a shot at pitching them. And doing that has inspired new songs anyway. It's been a lot of fun...but it takes me away from the computer screen.
And maybe that's not such a bad thing?

Well good luck with the songwriting Mark and more to the point let's hope someone records one or two, or have they?
