Hi all...
I just removed the shunt from the treble volume to the switch on my '92 4003.and added the .0047uf cap..it changed the sound (which is what I wanted) but the volume is weak...is this normal??? or did I do it wrong?

Absolutely normal, Anthony.

To compensate for the volume loss, you can raise the treble pickup to be closer to the strings (no less than 1/8" from the strings). Lower the neck pickup if it's still too much louder (for your liking) than the capped treble pickup.

Anthony, if you like you can add a spdt swith in parallel to that cap. Then you can have either sound at the flip of a switch.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Just connect the one lug of a spst switch to one side of the capacitor and the other lug to the other side. Or with a spdt switch, use the middle lug and either end lug.

When the switch is in one position, the capacitor is what connects the pickup to the circuit. In the other position, the capacitor is shunted by the switch (its in the on position) and no longer affects anything.
