I kind of like the looks of the body on that one, combined with the maple neck and soap bars. Is the headstock the same as other PRS guitars?

Kris, you are a witty guy!

Nah, it's more like a high-end Fender CS or a Gibson CS competitor - same sort of feel and action. PRS gets a bad rap because they are now MUCH better than they used to be, and most people have uninformed prejudice simply because they gave up on PRS a decade ago and have not spent enough time with the most recent ones made in the last few years.

It is NOTHING like a Rickenbacker. But in recent years it has become the third-largest selling higher-end guitar next to Fender and Gibson Custom Shop products.

I like my Ricks for what they are (I must, I have tons more of them than PRS) and I like PRS for what it is - Gibson or Fender feel and action with vastly superior wood and craftsmanship. And that 7A maple-top 10th Anniversary limited edition sitting here has the most amazing inlay and high-quality wood you ever saw, many hundreds of hours put into it in the PRS ultra-custom shop.

Hey, if you think JH is a perfectionist, you have never met Pauly Smith.... I sometimes think he lives and sleeps at the factory here in the Annapolis area at times and can see everyone's workstations everywhere all the time like magic. Nothing gets past that guy, and everything is always done exactly the way Pauly says to do it. That is a big part of their quality improvement within the last four to five years too! I professionally admire men like JH and Pauly who are driven to excel
