Not on my shopping list, but it would probably be fun to fiddle around with. I'm not a Gibson guy though-I don't own a stngle one. I blame all of those awful 70s and early 80s Hondo Les Paul copies for turning me off Gibson.

I'll post the same thing I did on the gear page after someone mentioned that it was "too-modern" of an idea.

It's to modern for most people on the gear page. which is absolutely ridiculous because we're playing ELECTRIC GUITARS!

You're the people who said no to Les Paul's log, and no to the Beatles guitar filled sound, told Columbus the world was flat, told Edison that a magic bulb that lit up was ********, and told Milli Vanilli that if singing was too hard they could get someone else to do it! proud of yourself?

Ok, I went a bit far with that...

I bet some people said the same thing when picks came out. "Why don't they just use their fingernails?" "Whats next, a guitar that strums for you?"

PICKS? <geezemode> Why, Back In The Day, we didn't HAVE picks. We had to rip out a front tooth and use it for a pick. That was commitment, back then, I'll tell ya". And STRINGS? Why, Back In The Day we didn't HAVE strings! We had to slice open our bellies, yank out a few feet of our own intestines, and make our OWN strings. Now THAT took GUTS to do that back then. Bunch of Nansy-Pansies these days, buy it all off the rack in a store, no personal commitment, no guts, no glory.... paughhh :x </geezemode>

Har! Not my picture, just an example. I haven't played with one of these this time around, but back in the day, between paychecks, I have been known to use one or two....

I'd just file down the worn tips to a new point until the pick became too small to grip.

Only the first week, until our feet froze and broke off. Couldn't afford any shoes back then, had to eat 'em to survive the LBJ Years. Then we had to crawl on our hands and knees, ten miles it was in the snow and across the glaciers and tundra, uphill both ways it was too I tell ya'. Bloody stumps they were, now THAT's commitment, that took guts, Back In The Day... :P
