INCREDIBLE, Paul!
That is an astonishingly rich shade of AFG--something about the golden tones at the center remind me of honey....

Scott D-Nice Chia head!
Paul W-Amazing work, as usual! The truss rod ends on that 21 fretter look like they were at the bottom of the Bay for awhile! What sort of stuff do you use to get that off? I've used pool acid on metal corrosion like that, but I've never had it on truss rods. Do you dip and replate those in nickel? Or maybe just replace the whole thing?

Yeah, that rich autmn fireglo finish is really starting to grow on me, especially the OS with the gold guards and oven knobs that Aitch uses for his avatar.melibreits wrote:INCREDIBLE, Paul!

I think Aitch's avatar is his Montezuma brown 330.
Re: Anything new in ye olde shoppe?
You got it, Melibee!
Very, very nice AFG, Paul...... a 350v63 in that would look stunning IMO.

Oops. Who am I thinking of with the OS model with gold guards, VPs, and oven knobs for an avatar? The angle of the avatar photo is opposite yours Aitch. I looked around but couldn't find it.

Paul, truss rods and truss rod nuts are not plated, they're raw, mill-finish steel.
Depending on how the rods look after they've been pulled, they may get cleaned up or may get replaced with new ones that I'll make. The nuts will be replaced as well with new parts.

Paul W. - isn't the 1975 a 4000S? I don't see routing for the neck pickup. very nice AFG on that one!
That '71 is going to be a real challenge with all those routs. Hey, rout out the whole center to the CB and do an insert!

Depends on what it says. My current favorite is from the Cavern in Liverpool, but it's getting faded...I have a genuine FBI one, too, but I find it intimidates people and polarizes them, too.paologregorio wrote:What about a cap?
Anyway, my little girl prefers me in hats. Says they look more mature.

The Panama style hat you wore to the confluence looked pretty cool.jingle_jangle wrote:Depends on what it says.
