Knob Question

Regarding guitar and bass knobs - are they the same size, except for the 5th on an guitar? Newer style and the vintage knobs? I realize they will both fit the same pot shafts, I'm asking about the overall diameter of the knobs. Inquiring mind wants to know.

Yes they are the same, except for the fifth knob size, of course.

It's refreshing to know that nobody made the obligatory "knob" double entedre (well...a 1.5 entendre at least). I think we're all growing as human beings.
