My New Ric

Post by longboard_ric »

Here are a few pics of my recently acquired 330AFG.

It proved extremely hard to photograph accurately, and the flawless finish reflects everything. As usual it does look better in the flesh. Plays and sounds like a dream. Well done again Mr Hall and staff.

BTW.......what's the matter with me :? Twelve months ago I didn't own a Rickenbacker now I have three. :D :D :D

That is an extremely pretty Fireglo, IMO. I think reds look great on Rickenbackers, and that one has a very subtle burst to it -- not much yellow in the centre. I love that. Congratulations.

Shane, gorgeous. For some reason, I think the AFG really likes the 330 body....I know it's purely subjective, but it just seems the color and the fades seem to work very well on this body style, at least every one I've seen. Yours proves my theory!!

I've been fortunate enough to see this one 'live' and it is simply stunning! Congrats again, Shane.

Oh, that's just called RAS (Rickenbacker Acquisition Syndrome).... You'll get used to it after a while.... I lost count at 20 Rics, and have bought and sold a few in between there!

Thanks everyone, you just have to see these in the flesh to appreciate them. It looks 50 years old already. :D

Melissa .......RAS.....I thought as much. Can I leave it to you to explain to my wife that there is no known cure!!!! :D

I haven't been lucky enough to see an AFG up close, but that one is certainly the purtiest one I've seen in pics! Congrats.....

I'm celebrating my third anniversary as a Rick owner in about 30 days.

I have 28, I think...I keep forgetting the 425V63...got my most recent, a lovely 360DCM, last week.

Don't fear a mild fever, Shane. Some of us are terminal.

Hi Kevin :D

That is a magnificent guitar and the Gold Pickguards set it off beautifully. Mine was a week 30 build so they may well have been done in the same batch. I think they could pass for twins !!!! The finish is absolutely flawless, and we must give full credit to the painters and finishers at RIC for a superb job.

Hi Paul :D

Thanks for your encouragement !! Twenty eight Rics in 3 years......... that is a rapid rate of acquisition. Between you, Trotty, Howard and Elys not to mention many others, its no wonder the Ric factory can't reduce the backlog !!!

Her's a shot of my two AFG. It shows how varied the AFG colour can be.

And more importantly, I love them both :D
