I figure if the mandolin can return then why not the Bantar?
Any chance of the Bantar returning?

Any chance of the Bantar returning?
I'm a banjo pickin' Rickenbacker loving kind of guy. I wonder if there's any others out there who would love to have a Bantar? :p

John: Some might say, in gest, that your username says it all. I can go out a bit on the limb here as I am a lefty too. I too share your fascination of liking the "oddball" stuff.
What make us a bit different, is that I learned early on that it was difficult to find left-handed instruments and to learn from othersÅ who were nearly always right-handed. So I forced myself to play right handed.
I have always wondered how many guitarists could play effectivelboth right and left handed? I don't know of any and would love to hear from anyone who fits such a playing style.

Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Peter: I guess I would fit in to the "ambidexterous person" catagory. I actually do more things with my left hand than my right, but I swing a bat righty and write with my right hand too.
I have my cousin to thank for starting me out on a left-handed instrument years ago, for he is 100% lefty. So, this is what feels right for me on bass. Over the years of being around right-handed guitars and from a collecting standpoint, I learned to play/chord/fingerpick right-handed. A right-handed bass feels really weird to me though...LOL

I've seen that Bantar at Lark St. Couldn't play it because I'm a lefty, but it was very cool. It is in mint condition. The likelyhood of them being manufactured again is very slim, so maybe 5k is not that much to someone who really wants it. Buzzy has had it for quite a while, maybe he'll deal. He also has/had a working , all original Light Show that he brought out and plugged in for me. Also very cool.
Thanks for the info, Bruce!
I can't even afford a deal on that Bantar. :p
That Light Show must be cool. I've never seen one in person, but if you get my ol' 360 under a blacklight, you'll see some psychedelia from my youth.
When I was young (and very crazy) I painted my mapleglo 360 with water based glo paint. I took the glo paint off fairly quickly, so you can't see any remnants except under a blacklight. Oof!
At least the ghost paint goes with the stupid Gibson humbuckers in it.
