Happy Thanksgiving

Post by dlandau »

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone and a Merry Christmas. May a RIC find its way under your tree this year. I guess that depends on whether you've been naughty or nice! Or both.

For those not used to Thanksgiving, we stuff turkeys with gifts. Last year I found a '60s Rick bass tailpiece in mine!

Never too late. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you from L. Frank Baum's Land of Oz.

Hey, Jim, Kansas doesn't have the only claim to Oz!

"Local legend has it that Oz was inspired by a prominent castle-like building in the community of Castle Park near Holland, Michigan where Baum summered. The Yellow Brick Road was derived from a road at that time paved by yellow bricks."

I hope all our American members survived the holiday without busting.

I didn't know about the Michigan connection. Usually when some one mentions Oz they're talking about the land of John Howard, and Paul Hogan Down Under. :)
