I wonder if the Foothill Club mentioned in the video is the venue that was here in Signal Hill, CA. The Foothill Club was a huge country venue back in the day. The western theme was all over the inside of the old club. There was even a huge autographed pic of Johnny Cash on the wall, among others. It was demolished about four or five years ago and condominiums were built on the lot. The owner was just tired of running the place after years and years. He lived just across the alley from the place, so it was a short commute to work!

It is one and the same. Ten years ago, I used to go there on Saturday nights, where my local Brasilian Samba Club (Samba Lá, out of Long Beach) put on regular shows. This went on until it was torn down. It became primarily a Latin dance/night club in its last years. No pics on the wall then.

At the time I was going there, I had NO idea of its history! I just thought it was a (large) dive bar...

John, if you'd heard Graham's 1959 365F live at SoCal '07, you would have been very impressed. Those are some great sounding guitars!

How would the Beatles have sounded if George had played a 360F (obviously a great country instrument, judging from this and other videos surfacing!) instead of a Country Gent?

Furthermore, if George had played one, i'm sure i'd be sitting here strumming my 360Fc63 right now.

I was judging by when George probably would have gotten his, and assuming at that point it would have been a brand new one.

I've never seen one with a '63 serial number, JB. Seems they jump from '61 to '67. Anyone got anymore info on this topic?

You're absolutely correct about that. Always found it odd as well!

I remember that. I'd forgotten. I think the original owner sold it, and all the murals and C/W paraphenelia were taken away in the Samba Club makeover. In the 80s it was kind of a biker hangout for awhile, then in the late 80s and early 90s the club started booking swing, country swing, and rockabilly again. I even got to see Wanda Jackson play there in the mid 90s. I thought that a year or so before being torn down it was renamed the Foothill again but it didn't work out. I could be mistaken. Did you live in the Long Beach area for awhile Paul or did you dirve down from where you lived in Beverly Hills?
