Horribly overpriced and take a look the feedback this guy dumps on other people for telling the truth, he seems to be a real nasty bit of work.

kinda looks like a super rare previously never heard of 4005-s model with that simple dot fretboard....

very nice,maybe the fretboard/problems will keep this one in the range of semi-affordability.....i like it!

No, they're not dots, but inlay designs. Fretboard is indeed a replacement.

Anybody else notice that the first position marker inlay on the fretboard is on the 2nd fret?

Remember the 60's 4005 that Ted worked on that had had the fretboard replaced? The "luthier" put a 34" scale fretboard on it! I wonder what surprises we might find with this one?

I missed all of that stuff (I really should wear my glasses) as I said, I know nothing about the 4005, But if you got this one at the right price. Not to mention there are the resources on this forum to set it straight!

Hi Guys, I ended up with this bass!!! The seller was accommodating and agreed to a very buyer friendly payment plan. I'll be driving up to Connecticut next weekend to pick it up.

Dale will be replacing the fretboard with an original Bubinga type fret board with full width CP shell inlays.
