Yup, that's my long lost baby stolen December last year. John and I are working it out as you can see on the other thread. I just got off the phone with John and it seems I may just have to bring the "lefty prom bass" to the next gathering.

rick_ovic wrote:John, the story of you purchasing this bass will remain one of the highlights of my recent trip. John Koelling and I saw the bass on eBay and I immediately came running down Pascoe's staircase shouting your name.

I knew you were hooked once you moved from a standing position in front of the computer to the driver's seat. It was a pleasure to watch you dissect every detail about the bass from top to bottom (especially when those of us with a more excitable nature would have just whacked that ol' BIN button with a degree of recklessness. As we all gathered around to chant "Buy It, Buy It" you still maintained a steely perseverance in the face of extreme peer pressure. For a while.

Once you hit that magic button, it felt like we ALL purchased the lefty Ric Prom bass!

Well done, mate. I'm glad you're so happy with the bass :D

It's ALL your fault, Darren.

HEH HEH HEH 8) Let's talk about this....

I am pretty optomisitic that I'll get my $$$$ back, but I'm having to jump through some pretty big hoops...The main thing is that Abbott will get his bass back....I must say it's a great bass, and all of this happened for a reason and purpose. :D

I may be getting a little too old to be the life of the party these days but my bass is just starting to hit it's prime. A great story in so many ways. I just can't begin to imagine though what it would have been like if I was there-I think we all know given the seller and the bass that I would have clicked the BIN in about 5 milliseconds. I can see it now- "THATS MY BASS...QUICK PULL UP THE REGISTRY...GET AWAY FROM THAT COMPUTER!"

Just as much the "main thing" from where i'm sitting is that Bob's Pawn shop be sent a strong enough message to convince him to never engage in this kind of activity. I think about the heartache, even possible injury or worse he has caused others beside me by enabling the property thieves. People like him are a larger problem than any one thief. I know my sense of security has been reduced ever since the break in and I bet there are many other's in Charlotte here that feel the same way thanks to Bob's pawn. By the way, I now have I.P. based motion sensor cameras that send e-mails of photos immediately if motion is detected. The bad guys can even steal my computer and I will still have the pictures in my hotmail.
