Boilersuit - 4005 featured

Post by rick_ovic »

I discovered this band Boilersuit on Myspace. Their bass player, Chris Dekker, plays a tasty assortment of vintage basses, including a 4005 MG featured on the band's latest video.

Here's an earlier clip, too.

Ah yes, I know Chris from the Dudepit. Really nice guy and has some great basses, including that '74 4005WB!

It really is a pity he uses the 4005 for the video only and not for the recording.

Looks like there is a backup Rick on the floor by the amp - look just over the drummer's hands at 2:16.

I just read this today...:) Thanks guys!

Some explanations:

- The song is recorded with my '76 Thunderbird and the Orange, but because of the looks I used the 4005WB + Orange for the vid;)
- The second Ric at 2:16 is my second 4005WB. No, but cleverly seen! It's a mistake and we all didn't noticed untill the vid was online. Our VJ and video maker Guido just filmed us a lot of times and made this vid out of it. When he was filming our drummer, I was getting something to drink and I put my bass on the floor.... So it's just a mistake:)

Apart from the discussion about the beautiful bass, let's not overlook the fact that there are two great tunes and two superb videos to showcase them. They are very tasteful and very well done.
