Re: The Almost-Impossible Rock & Roll Quiz
After reading the first page, I realized that any accidental points would be disingenuous and gave up right away.

Re: The Almost-Impossible Rock & Roll Quiz
Then I guess I need a life. (But I already knew that.)
On the first screen, I get them all correct (nine out of nine).
Though I’m sure that success rate would not last very much longer if I continued.
For those questions where I did not absolutely “know” the answer, I used the same technique I use for Final Jeopardy – which is to figure out what could be the only logical answer.
For example, if they ask which Stones album cover has slogans written on it? Well, the only answer can be the RS album that has any writing on it. If they ask, who went to high school with Jimmy Johnson (American football coach), then it has to be someone who was about the same age as Johnson. And so forth.
As an addendum to question No. 5, I’ll add my own:
Who was the "Martha" that inspired the title of the Jefferson Airplane's song "Martha?"

I got a 36.
Re: The Almost-Impossible Rock & Roll Quiz
I got 31. Pretty amazing since I quit listening to rock'n'roll about 1973 or thereabouts.

Ah, that brings to mind another question. Who was the Jessica that inspired the Allman Brothers tune by that name on their 1973 album "Brothers & Sisters?"firstbassman wrote:

Answer to my question:
The Airplane's "Martha" was written about Martha Wax, daughter of Mel Wax who was on the Sausalito City Council and also mayor for two years. (Mel passed away a couple of years ago.)
Martha, as a teenager at the time, ran away from home and was being "hidden away" by members of the San Francisco rock music community.

Re: The Almost-Impossible Rock & Roll Quiz
I guessed at a lot of them, too. Not bad for just guessing.
