She's a beaut, Tony! Very nice wood on her too. If it turns out BG is not your color, I guess I could do you and Janey a favor and take it off your hands, same as you paid.

Heyyyy! Mighty neat catch, Tony! I wouldn't half mind making that baby mine hehe. Sounds like she needs a new set of "vocal chords" though... (hint, hint) She's gotta stop being a nice girl - turn her into a bad *** screamer  like my 21 fretter ("Jaclyn" of that ilk...)! Cheers.

Such kindness abounds here on the board! Thanks for being so considerate goombah! :D

Hey John, glad you like it. Just bring down your 4005 and we got a deal!

Thanks Sergio, perhaps we can put them together and get some 5002's with FWMOP inlays!

Lol, good one Jeff. I only wish Janey still played....BUT, she DID ask me for something yesterday. :( And she NEVER asks for anything for herself.....so I'm wondering if this was part of the buttering up process? :o
"I have a good plater around the corner from the lab when you're ready." COOL, thanks Jeff. THAT is good to know!

Thanks for the sage advice Wints. That is exactly what I'll do. But I'm also wondering, besides the cosmetic issue, will the salty air from the ocean cause the tailpiece to pit and tarnish more being part of the (whatever the material is) is now exposed?

Tony,

I'm right on the beach here, and a couple of my tailpieces are pitted. They have not got any worse over the last 6 years...

Now, in 2000 when I was out of the country for months, I came back to find the frets on my RM1999 had turned green!

You know Joey, it is on a stand next to the bed, right next to my '74. Yes, I do spend a lot of time looking at it.
Thanks again for the kind words, if I can ever get you & Diane over for a few days, we can stare at it together! LoL!

Thanks Wints, good news indeed. I was worried that the salt water in the air would do some heavy damage to it. I'm about 3 miles from the ocean, but I live on a lake and a brackish river is about 2 blocks away. No shortage of humidity, that's for sure. My A/C unit never stops running.

When you were away for a few months, did you keep the A/C running? We just had a hemostadt installed to help with the humidity, but I've never had my frets turn green on me, thankfully!
