1978 4001 Burgundly Glo - What's it worth?

Post by skbass »

Hello everybody,
I bought my 1978 4001 Burgundy Glo about 3 years ago. I've been considering selling it just because I just don't play it very often. I just don't know what it's worth. I've seen a few of them on ebay over the last couple of years (there's a 1975 burgundy glo on ebay now) but it seems like people just put them up as "buy it now" for a ridiculous price. My gut tells me that I could get $1300 - $1500 on ebay, but I'm sure.
Condition-wise, I would say it is fair. It's almost 30 years old, so it does have some knicks and scrapes along with some belt buckle rash.
Any thoughts? I can post some pics this weekend, but I was just looking for some general thoughts.
Thanks for any input.

if it's all original and things like the strap buttons haven't been relocated, i think you'd easily hit 2000 on it, the market is whacky right now.
