I'm a huge fan of the 1997 and '66 360/12, myself. If I had the money, I'd buy them in a heartbeat!

The 1968 "370" on eBay really caught my eye, naturally. It's my favorite model. It has some of the best birdseye maple I've seen on a Rick in a long time. The pictures do it justice. However, the picture of the inside of the control cavity depicted a hole that's kind of hard to dig your way out of. Clearly marked in black ink was "365". Not too many original 370's from that time period, but I reckon the number of retrofits out there is equal to the original population, which is truly a handful of guitars. Heck, McGuinn's first "370/12" began life as a stock 1964 360/12. If I had five grand to splurge on a 1960's 370, breaking out the screwdriver to look inside the body would be a top priority, before making a deal. For all we know, it might have been a factory upgrade not long after the guitar was built. Some of the ex-factory people might have a better perspective than I do, but that's my theory. Perhaps the folks at Olivia should do a little more research, to avoid awkward situations, like control cavity searches.

I tried to contact that seller a few times about one or two of their basses, they NEVER RESPONDED and that was THROUGH the Ebay system.

NOTHING turns me off of a seller faster than not responding to a question.

Unless I go to the "My eBay" section, I never have any idea that I have messages waiting as I don't get emails sent to me letting me know. I'm sure it's just a setting I need to change, but I imagine that many people are set the same way.

Either way, if you're selling tens of thousands of dollars worth of guitars on EBAY, then you should be checking your EBAY messages.
