dot neck 4003. 1982 does this add up?

That's an early 4003S(no binding, dot board). It's interesting that it has Rick-O-Sound though.

Also, neck through should make it a 4003, as the 4001S basses from this period were set neck designs. I am also curious about the Rick-O-Sound.

Many of the early 4003S models (1980-1985 or so) had Ric O Sound.
