wow this is my devil post!??!!?!?!
Unfortunately, (or fortunately, depending on which way you swing) that will all change the next time you post.

Yeah - I'm kind of eager to see when that legendary RRF CD will debut. For a teaser, here's the song I submitted that was NOT selected:

Throwaway

I think you've heard this one before, Tom. Sorry for the repeat!

I still need to e-mail Tony. Yeah, I know, "why haven't you ... yada yada yada"!

I am really sorry that it (obviously) will not be ready for holiday gift-giving (the shipping deadlines will prevent that), but it's one of those projects that seems always to get another snag thrown in ... and I am willing to take any and all flak for it not getting done sooner. Nonetheless, it will get done, so take heart in that!

So, when the clock strikes 2008, exactly how many different years will this project have been in development during ?

That may depend on how old some of the songs on the CD are.

My song was written in 2005. That was, like, three girlfriends ago.

Better late than never, Steve!

Maybe I'll get my own project done in the meantime....

Still working at this. Here's the rough draft of the CD design:
TestCDlabel2.jpg
Please keep in mind that I am a Photoshop novice, so that's why it's a simple design. I will be e-mailing this to the CD replicator to see whether it'll be O.K.

I should be able to e-mail Tony later tonight and try to get the rest of the 'issues' straightened out.

Someone asked about how long this project has lasted ... I think that it started in June of 2006, so it's 18 months so far ... and still counting!

The title of my song is "He Showed Up In May, She Left In June." I emailed someone about this months ago but I guess it didn't get fixed? If you can fix that it would be great. Thanks J

Look at it this way - It's like waiting for a newly ordered Rick!

OW! :)

BTW, Jason's post now has me paranoid about having all of the track listing correct, so I will e-mail all of those appearing on the CD and requesting that he/she/they review the text for his/her/their song.

And, "unbelievably", I still need to e-mail Tony ... :(

Mine looks fine, Anthony. (track #9: 'The Gift - Mark Walker') However, I think that track 13: 'Surfs Up Homey! - Dave Watson' should be: 'Surf's Up, Homie! - Dave Watson.' "Homey" is like how a place feels when it's well lived-in, while "Homie" is like one of your buddies. That's my impression, but Dave should give his approval on that one.

Did you make a master list from the original submissions? If you can find that, maybe you won't have to do a lot of back tracking and waiting on people's responses. At this point, I don't care too much about the particulars of CD label semantics; I'm just looking forward to hearing the music.
