How are the rickenbacker guitar straps?

I am thinking about getting a Rickenbacker guitar strap to compliment my new 330. Are they good quality? Comfortable? Thanks for any help.

I like mine, it's comfortable, but I need to punch some new holes. I'm 5/7, on the last punch, and it just hangs too low.

They're comfortable enough, but that big metal buckle scares me. I usually figure out how long I want the strap, then remove the buckle and lash the leather parts together through the buckle holes. It may not look as finished, but at least I know I'm not going to accidentally hit the guitar with the buckle sometime and scratch it.

Let's see... I have 2 Rickenbackers and 5 Rickenbacker straps.

They are quite nice, my friend. My first, a burgundy one, gave up the ghost after 7 years, but it was used extensively.
The Levy's straps, even the vintage models, I find in shops are not quite the same -so I will continue to use the Ric versions.

I like 'em, if you're into that style. Though, i've found that when long sets they tend to get less and less comfortable, whereas other straps i've used have been fine over the hours.

That's a cool idea. If you're concerned with aesthetics, you could use a black leather lace to cinch them together.

I love the Rick guitar strap as well. Most of my guitars have a RIC strap, whether they're Rickenbackers or not! It's a great strap at a great price.

You know, I might be short enough that I could just slit the bottom buckle hole and just have one piece! Maybe I'm being overly optimistic.

I really like them. I like the nice big pad and the vintage vibe. And I like how I can match MG, FG anf JG to the straps....

I ended up taking the buckle off and lacing the two pieces together with a rawhide strip as someone here suggested. Worked and looks great. No need to worry about being clumsy and putting a ding or a scratch in the guitar.
