Bangle Susanna's RIC
I seen a Bangles video today for 'In Your Room." I always thought it's one of their hottest videos! Well anyways, I noticed in the white room that the band is in. Susanna is playing her signature 350SH in White with a black bottom guard and a black back? Was this ever an option, I can't remember. But what really caught my eye was when the band is miming their tune in what looks to me, a backyard, Susanna is playing what looks to me a 350 but with an "F" hole.. I want one... Where can I find one, and what is the correct model # for it??
"Take the RIC... Leave the cannoli."
One candidate I come to think of is the Model 320. This Model originally had an f-soundhole. This was changed some time in the second half of the seventies to be an option. The 320 now has a solid top. This is a shortscale guitar and the Model 350 is a fullscale version of it.
This is a 320 with solid top:
This link shows the Model 320 in the RIC catalog from 1975, before f-soundhole became an option.

Here is the "updated" version with solid top. The pages in this catalog are from 1975 and with some updates until 1983. I think it was in 1979 this change of features was made.

Could this be the one you are looking for?

I don't want to violate any copyright laws, so I'll post the beginning of the trail that leads to Dave Gregory's 1964 model 1996:

Go to "Pick of the Month", scroll down to "Previous Picks", select Rickenbacker 1996.
I know it has a vibrato, but is this close?

Don,
Do you think this is the one?
They are probably not so easy to find. I don't know if the f-hole option was popular, haven't seen any 320 with f-hole since I don't know when.
I guess that all you can do is to search for a pre-75 Model 320 in all possible places.
If I happen to find a Model 320 w/f-hole guitar for sale I will let you know about it!
Take care and a Merry Christmas!

Is this what you're looking for? WAY overpriced for me, but it might be a similar guitar!

I had an '86 FG 320 with a 2 o'clock F-hole.
