Vox Ac15 and ??? for stereo sound
I need opinions!!! I play Indie rock music and I bought a Vox AC15 with blue Alnico's and I am looking for a second amp to complete a stereo sound. Any suggestions?
Re: Vox Ac15 and ??? for stereo sound
it depends on what ac15 is it. if it is old 60s non reverb ac15 than something like deluxe reverb or princeton reverb would be good companion for super clean sound with reverb.
i can't talk about any newer ones, i haven't tried one.

I concur with grazioso's recommendation. A Vox/Fender combination is great.
I see "620" in your screen name. Do you have a 620 and are you planning on doing this with a Rick-O-Sound kit?

Tom petty uses a Fender Bassman with his AC30.

ive been playing in stereo using an AC15 and a fender twin reverb for a few years. i love the combo. i use it no matter what guitar im using. its my standard setup. i also have a deluxe reverb. i dont care for it much...it breaks up at 2/3.

I suggest lugging your guitar down to a place with an AC15 and trying out what they have.
You'd probably never go wrong with another AC15, but I'd look at Fender's wares and some of the smaller brands. I'm a big fan of THD's stuff, since swapping tubes is what they're all about, and that's a great way of obtaining subtle changes in sound. While I'm kind of a tube junky, I really did like my Norlin L7 and Roland JC30.
Some amps I'd want to try each way:
Flexi 50
DC30 (a bit like the vox)
Roland JC30
Motion Sound rotary combo
(I have had all the above and have gotten great sounds with any two.) I miss my JC30s. I really like running the neck position clean and bright and then being able to go from clean to dirty with the bridge pickup.
