Turning a 325V59 Into A Lennon
WHERE CAN YOU GET KNOBS AND SUCH, TO TURN A NEW 325V59 INTO A LENNON (ED SULLIVAN SHOW).
I THINK IT IS A BEAUTIFUL GUITAR.
I THINK IT IS A BEAUTIFUL GUITAR.
I've modified my 325V59 into the Lennon specs with the following parts:
- Handmade truss rod cover and slot-head screws in the "correct" positions
- Grover open-back tuners and hex bushings in the Lennon positions
- Recarved headstock
- No volute
- Thick nut
- Unfinished fretboard
- Unwound pickups and slot-head screws
- Bigsby bow-tie bridge
- Handmade raised single pickguard with propper screw locations
- Repro "Burns" knobs
- Elongated jackplate
- Slot-head Bigsby body mounting screws and a Philips" arm stud
- Unpainted Bigsby logo background
I did everything on my own except for the bridge and knobs, which are available at WITH and McC in Japan.
Email me if you need any help: tuck@hersey.office.ne.jp

I found a person who will sell you the whole conversion kit. you can e-mail him for price and info. you might ask him for his web address, he has a great site. contact him at HOFVOX@AOL.com
For your info.
Trevino Music at HOFVOX@AOL.com has sent me an e-mail saying that he is out of conversion kits and will not be restocking for lack of people buying them in the past.

Tuck: What decision did you come to with regard to the wiring of the pickups? Did you leave the wiring stock or did you change it?
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Thanks guys. Yeah, I have a wbsite at http://www.beatles.co.jp/tuck/indexeng.html. There's a page showing pics of my Beatle guitars and also a page about my band. Hope you'll enjoy!
Guys and Gals, FabGear has many conversion parts for the '58 version and the '64 versions, including new pickguards correct for Lennon's. These parts are not made by or endorsed by Rickenbacker. If you want a list, or information on the parts I offer, please e-mail me at: jokerace72@aol.com
Tuck's gotten a few parts from me already, and so have quite a few Beatle Tribute people nad they've all had quite nice things to say. Thanks everyone!
