I think the warranty is only for the person who buys it brand new from a dealer ...

I believe the warranty is only for up to one year after the date of manufacture of the instrument. It should say it on the warranty card. This is to whomever owns it during that year.

The warranty is valid to the original purchaser for five years from the date of manufacture of the instrument.

Mike no matter what, send it in anyway. I think you should have some time left on the warranty.

Warranty is good for 5 years on the instrument from date of manufacture, 1 year for the finish.

True enough, but the warranty card clearly states it's a warranty to the original purchaser. Mike said he bought it used. It's not transferable.

I wondered what "new used" meant. He's a dealer correct? Send it in. I think you have ten days in which to do it.
