I agree wholeheartedly JB! I'm playing mine through an Orange Rocker 30 and love the tone.

I know Pete Townshend used Marshall amps quite a bit. No doubt that he played his Rics through them.

Check out any '80s clip of The Smithereens, it's all about the Marshall.

My latest acquisition is a late '80s Vox Concert 100, which is a Marshall JCM 800 clone in Vox clothing. 100w, 4x12" w/Celestions, the whole bit. And the Rics sound stunning through it.

I'm just fooling around in the basement with it but I ABY my bluesbreaker 2x12 with my deluxe reverb. Wicked good ! I wish I had a gig where I could use that kind of horse power. Work great with the 360-12, tele, strat, gretsch, les paul jr. :)

Howdy,

I've never owned a Marshall amp. Been playing Rickenbackers for nearly 24 years, though. Come to think of it, playing my 360/6 through a cranked Marshall 45 watt amp would be a blast! I'm talking about overdriven power tubes, not that buzzy pre-amp channel-switching nonsense.
My '68 Vibro Champ is the great for living room "Get yer Ya-Ya's Out" applications, but someday I'll look at a Dr. Z Carmen Ghia or maybe even a Vox or Marshall.

Lemmy uses a Marshall Superbass II head and Marshall cabs.
