That is a 10 year old bass ... and it shows a lot of wear and tear ... notice the bare wood and rusted screws ...
If the screws are rusting then the electronics under the pickguard are getting scuzzy too ...
this was a 10 year old ric that I restored ... The input jacks were rusted up pretty good ...

Hey Fellas!
After years of reading, this will be my first posting... And after all this time, I still don't understand why people try to pull fast ones on Rickenbacker folk. Even if we don't know what we're talking about all the time, we at least act like we do. And since we won't allow ourselves to become victims to such a crime as this, it sickens me to know that the real victim is the Rickenbacker Bass, most recently this 'ere blue one...

Welcome to the family, Matt.
Wow, great patience of you to read for years before signing up!
By the way, the blue victim has been relisted as a '90 bass. The seller still doesn't want to post the serial number in the description though.

There's quite a few errors in the listing. The serial # says C3 9100, which would be a 63 serial.
The pickups are not as described but are hi-gains and it may be a model 4003.
I may end this auction and relist?
Thats from his auction before it ended. WOW. This guy has no clue. Yeah, man, just PUNT when it gets too bad. Merry Christmas, hope Santa brings him the clue he asked for. The serial number accurately dates it as a March 1990 Midnight Blue 4003.

Thanks Paul,
Wow, well I could understand why he would want to keep the horseshoe, toaster, check board binding, Walnut wings, Fireglo finish, plexi-nameplate, etc. cause those are the famous features were all looking for, right? At least he took the time to consult a viable source for the fake serial number...
