Great looking Cii Joey! I think RIC has only done one run of Cii's in Blueburst (I'm still waiting for mine) - what's the build date on yours?

Joey, after one look at the newest member of your bass family, I now have a new outlook with regards to getting the blues during the holidays.

Congratulations!

Gorgeous color, Mr. Vasco! And the gold adds that "over the top" factor, too.

Unrelaible Package Service may have given you a start, but DHL still has 'em beat in my neighborhood...

Two of these were made at the end of '05 and I have a picture that was on Bass Northwest's website (they got it a couple weeks after I ordered mine) and it looks dark like that one. Another one was made sometime in '06 that went to the Ricpage, but I don't know if it was as dark as this one. (Too much time spent on the recently shipped page :) ) The Cii BBR picture posted on this forum a couple of months ago looks like a lighter shade of blueburst. I wonder if the ones made this year will light or dark. Maybe it's just the lighting. I just hope mine looks as good as yours, Joey. Thanks for posting!

Enjoy it, Joey!

What I really like about Blueburst on a 4004 is that the finish is uninterrupted by a pickguard. Although I could personally go either way with the gold or silver hardware, gold and blue is always a winning combination.

I'm definitely rethinking the shipping arrangements I make for all future instrument transactions.

Congratulations Joey!

What a beautiful bass and the perfect time of year for it to make an appearance.

It looks great and it went to a most deserving fellow!

Wow, NOW I really can't wait for my 4004Cii Blueburst in 08!

I hope it looks like yours too, I love the flame! How does it sound?

MORE PICTURES, MORE PICTURES PLEASE!

Thanks for the nice comments guys! :D
She is a really sweet bass. I was playing it for quite a while last night. Sounds as nice as it looks.

I was actually thinking about putting a set of TI or Chromes flats on it to have a completely different sound from my Jetglo 4004, which has the pickups closer to the bridge.

Greg, you're right about the gold and blue looking great together and I completely agree about rethinking which courier to use.

This bass has a build date of '05.

Awesome Joey! We'll have to compare it to my trans blue 4004.

That would be great Erik! You know this is actually your fault with that gorgeous trans blue 4004Cii of yours.
I never even liked blue guitars until I saw your trans blue 4004Cii.

Hey Erik, did you put the asterisks in your name to avoid searches of your name on the internet?

Sorry about that Joey.

Yes, I put the asterisks in my name to avoid searches. Someone I was less than thrilled to hear from got my email address from a Google search on this site. I'm going to be looking for a new job in the next few months and don't want any potential employers to find anything on me other than my posts on SQL Server and .NET forums.

Joey, I really liked the sound of the Cii I had with TI Jazz Flats on it, but then again it also sported toasters. :D

I thought it was you and also JB that had flats on a Cii. If toasters were made with a gold cover option, I'd give them a go on a Cii.

Cool, Joey! I've seen Lindsay Hahn's in person and yours is very similar..... not the 'washed out' finish that some of the early BBR guitars had.

Congrats!! :D
