Thanks Paul. I should've done this in the first place -- Googled sitars and found those vendors. Now I see them out there for around $300-400 (at least student models). I guess I never even considered a real sitar -- the "ugly American" in me sticking with shapes and things he already knows rather than checking in on the real thing.

Now, any suggestions on how to convince the wife I NEED a real sitar??

Sure. Just paste your head in this kool photo and she'll **** herself laughing. Then you can have your way with her.

Works for me...

Jerry, yep the JJ sitar does a pretty convincing job if you ask me, and you did. There are cheaper versions available that probably do just as good a job. MF had a Rogue one pretty cheap if I remember.
Paul, its actually a Casio. If he ONLY played organ parts an old Continental would be super cool but, the man has to cover organ, piano, orchestra, horns, etc.

Ronn, thanks for the reply. I looked it up on MF, and the Rogue is cheaper, at $300, and all the posted comments were favorable. So now, hmmm, I just have to figure out how to get this past the Commander-in-Chief.

Paul, as for the pic, what can I say? We share similar hairlines but if I tried to sit in that position, at my weight, we'd have to call in John Deere to haul me up. But the pic is cool -- I can almost smell the incense!

Or maybe it's just the cow....

Ronn, sometimes my desire for the old days overreaches the obvious practicality required by a working band that has to cover so many instruments. He must be one talented guy. Is it a WK series Casio?

The cow keeps his distance.

He's a VERY talented guy, can play drums, guitar, and is a great singer too.
As far as what model Casio, I have no idea.

Ronn... whats the percentage of gigs that are devoted to OUCH! ? Whats the setlist for a "typical" gig... or do you have 2 or 3 different types of performances? Inquiring minds want to know.

Below is a typical Eggmen 3-set setlist, we know a TON more than that but this is a typical gig.
OUCH! is just a fun side-project for me, some of the Eggmen, and a friend of ours. We play Rutles tunes, most every one off of their first album, nothing from Archeology yet. We open for The Eggmen sometimes. OUCH! has a lot of stuff on youtube and are always getting asked to play all over the world but we never leave home!

A Hard Day's Night///////////Norwegian Wood////////////Get Off My Cloud
I Should Have Known Better///Across the Universe/////////Satisfaction
Ticket To Ride/////////////Yellow Submarine////////////I Can't Explain
You Can't Do That //////////Sgt.Pepper's////////////////Mr. Tambourine Man
Day Tripper////////////////A Little Help from my Friends//Feel A Whole Lot Better
Tell Me Why///////////////I Am The Walrus/////////////Last Train To Clarksville
Help/////////////////////Strawberry Fields Forever//////You Really Got Me
Hide Your Love Away////////Here Comes the Sun/////////I'm a Believer
Act Naturally //////////////Birthday////////////////////Dirty Water
Can't Buy Me Love//////////Something//////////////////Time of the Season
All My Loving//////////////Revolution//////////////////Under My Thumb
Please Please Me///////////Back in the USSR/////////////Paint it Black
Twist And Shout////////////Hey Jude///////////////////The Last Time
Boys//////////////////////Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds//Mother's Little Helper
I Saw Her Standing There////Lovely Rita//////////////////19th Nervous Breakdown
I Wanna Hold Your Hand/////Good Morning,Good Morning///I'm Not Your Stepping Stone
She Loves You/////////////A Day in the Life/////////////Eight Miles High
/////////////////////////Abbey Road side two medley///My Generation
