Line 6 Bass Pod

Post by bassduke49 »

Don't know if this is allowed, but I'm selling this lightly-used Line 6 Bass Pod with stomp box, power converter, connector, and loose-leaf manual (downloaded from home page). Any Forumite's interested, please PM me with an offer. This is NOT the XT model. I don't use it, so it's just getting in the way.

Uh-oh. That puts a bunch of my guitars, amps, and combo organs in jeopardy at any one time!

I have and use an XT. It is a bit difficult to learn but a pretty useful tone tool.

Does the Monkey Software work with the bean shaped PODS? The Line 6 products that work with the Monkey Software makes makes them very easy to use and edit. I used it with the XT Live floor model, but I still wasn't all that thrilled about the sounds.

I don't know about the software as I am one of those infidels who uses Linux so am not able to run any Line 6 software. My only beef about the Pod is that it adds a little noise to the circuit. I like my bass and amp to be quiet at idle.

I didn't have any trouble with noise, but my Ricks did not sound like Ricks when I used it. To me, it sounded better with a P-bass.

Howdy Ted!

I didn't get much use out of the two Pods I had, too difficult for my feeble mind. I recently picked up a Vox AD30 with the models and effects, and I like them better. I liked it so much better in fact, that I have picked up a Vox AX10G(which is a discontinued pedal) to use with the Traynor combo, that is basically the same as the processor on the AD30 amp. It does have a pedal for wah that the amp doesn't have!

Anyways, I will say I think the Pod will help most combos sound better. If you are slamming big watts through a big cab, it's all nuance that most won't notice, IMHO.
