1993 reissue

I was reading on Rickbeat.com that the 1993 was re-issued for a limited time in the late 1980's as a 6-string and as a 12-string. Could anyone shed any light on this? Anyone own any of the reissues?

It is a pity they're not included in a current book somewhere,
one that we can all get our hands on,unlike that Jap book!
I never get tired looking at those RM type Ricks,thank god for this place
