Hello! from a new lad

Post by TheFountainHead »

Greetings fellows and fellowettes..
I've been a lurkn' on this great forum for a while, so i figured i might as well join in on the party and gain access to the elusive for sale board. (which will likely be more of a curse then anything) Here's a lil' about my rics...

I purchased my first Ric in 01' (new FG 4003), and I've have been an avid fan of these joyous instruments ever since. Since then i've acquired a 76' JG 3001, and i'm waiting on a 660/6 AFG which was ordered about a year ago. I started as a bass player, but i'm mainly a guitar player now although i still play bass often enough.

I'm a college student, so i don't have pizza boxes of cash laying around for new rics (although there's no lack of empty ones waiting to be filled), but someday i'd like to grab me a 381/6 to compliment the 660 that i don't have yet... 8)

Anyways, cheers! Everyone have a happy new year!

Welcome on, Brian. I'm sure another Rick is not too far off in your future. Say, the day after tomorrow :)

Welcome to the canteen, Brian, from another recent registrant. Enjoy your journey of discovery and hopefully someday soon you'll score your Ric. Play on, play often. Regards....Goofyfoot.
Play on, pick often, jam with any Rickenbacker, and prosper.

Welcome to the forum Brian,

There are so many Brians around here we could have our own forum just for Brians

Welcome aboard!

The 660 is a great guitar. While I must admit, I don't have a 6-string version to know, I *do* have a 12-string version, which (in my opinion) is even better. You'll love the comfortable wide neck on it, and you can get a nice, vintage tone from it.

Enjoy your stay here, and keep rocking!

Welcome Brian! Nice to have another canuck come on board! :D I looked at your profile and noticed you're in engineering school. My grandfather was an engineering grad from the University of Saskatchewan - is that where you're studying?
