Image A brand-new, 4-CD box set from the Byrds will be released this September. The details are still being ironed out, but one disc will feature previously unreleased live performances.

Thanks Terry. It will be very nice to see what new tracks are included in this set. Glad to see you are still on the case.

I just received the 2 cd set, "The Essential Byrds"; a nice present from my 15 y.o. niece.

Does anyone else see a strong resemblance between this photo and John Lennon (left) and Brian Jones (right)?

I do, Peter. Wow. I never noticed it before, but you are right. Eeeeeeeeeerieeee.
Nothing compares to the sound of a Rick 12 with a JangleBox and a touch of chorus.

Thanks, R.C. That is a must-have for us old Byrds fans.

Jay, my niece told me she bought the set because "a friend's father had the CD and she saw the inset with a picture of someone playing a guitar like yours."

Of course she was referring to my 360 MG and Roger's 370. BTW, the Byrds have a new fan.

Terry:

I hope that some tracks are from the original Byrds-- not just the post-1969 group. During the earlier years, McGuinn was more prominently featured on the Rick!!!!
No electric guitar can compare to the "jingle-jangle" of a Rickenbacker!!!
