I am not a fan of the Jazz neck profile." hiya,mike,i typically have a bone nut installed on most of my basses,i even had one put on my 4002 when i had it refretted. i dunno,probably does'nt really make THAT much difference,but i have a friend who makes "new vintage" guitars and he basically informs my decisions whenever i have any work done. i have had a few jazz basses over the years,and discovered i don't like the ones with bound maple fretboard necks,but i love an unbound rosewood jazz neck(i also prefer my rick necks unbound). i am not a big fan of heavy brass bridges like the badass-i think having the string rest on brass at either end tends to transfer less of the sound of the woods the bass is made of.
