"Saint Elmo's fire" finally had somebody asking me...

Post by blazer »

...If Elmo of Sesame street was a saint.

Me and my best friend were at his house watching this movie...

...when my friend's 5 year old daughter came walking in on us and asked us what we were watching.

So I replied that it was a movie about people coming to age and that it was called "Saint Elmo's fire" She looked at me with a quizzical look in her eye, repeats the title for herself and goes "So is Elmo a saint?" I asked her who she meant. In reply she walks off and returns with her stuffed doll version of THIS Elmo.

Actually I'd take a talking Elmo over some of the perceived real "Saints" any day.

You'd get far more sense out of him...

Saint Elmo's Fire (the true phenomenon should be more of a solid glow and less like dendrites, but this is still quite amazing to see). I once worked for a former Army pilot who served in both the European and Pacific theatres. He told me about seeing the wings and nose of his P-38 aglow with blue light...
