Can anybody recommend a string set for an 8 string? Preferably nickel.

There's the EXL170-8 set from D'Addario which are nickel.
SIT makes a set also. Their power wound nickel NR8-1890L set is a lighter gauge than the D'Addario set.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Odd thing, I saw just today an eBay Want It Now ad for a bass string set for a 10-string. Synchronicity in action!

What I have to do for my 10 string is start with a 5 string set and then get strings that are about 50% of the size of the root string ... :|

I use a GHS Boomers 8 set. 8LS-DYB They match the gauges of the original RIC set.
