Great choice of color and Dale sure does good work on those 4001's. I almost gave up on finding an AZ and was going to get a refin until I found this transition 73 made in May. It's not as purty as a refin but i guess it'll have to do.

Already in the works...It's going to be hard but I think I can convince her!rick_ovic wrote:Steve, that's gonna look superb. I'm slightly biased, of course. Now you'll just have to convince Tammy to help you recreate the Star Stowe portrait.

Hey Dave, I won't have to "Photoshop" those in as all those goodies will be present when it is complete.dswp wrote:Can someone please photo shop these in??
...well all except for the vintage tailpiece...unless you might want to get rid of that one
And my Grovers are wavy...remember the brand new set Marc Seligman had at MARF II?

Another outstanding job, Dale! Nice color choice, Steve.
Can't wait to see the finished product.

Re: An Old Lost Friend...
That's a fantastic looking bass! Kudos to Dale for doing some great work...those inlays are the best. There is a romance to those that the other ones will never have. I want the factory to go back to those SOOOOO badly.
Re: An Old Lost Friend...
Fantastic work Dale. One would think that by this time, I wouldn't be so surprised (pleasantly) at what comes out of the hands of skilled craftsmen, but I confess that I am...every time. Steve, I can imagine how excited and fortunate you feel. Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous!
Re: An Old Lost Friend...
Great ressurection! Now about recreating that SS shot....

We'll never see it!jps wrote:Great ressurection! Now about recreating that SS shot....
Another really nice restoration. Kudos. Oh, Steve, I hope it sounds like Darren's, his sounds HUGE.
Re: An Old Lost Friend...
Darren's is a 72 with new pickups. Mine is a Dec 73 with 73 pickups. My Aug 73 MG sounds great!
