The mark of a true pro Carole. When you are focused on your work other things often pale by comparison.

No one knew at the time that the Rickenbacker 12 string (excepting F C Hall) would become as big as it did, capturing about 95% of the 12 string market.

As often happens in history, some things seem so much more significant decades later than they really were. Still this is a big deal for Rickenbacker enthusiasts.

Who are some of the other artists who play 12-string?

Wow! I'm impressed. Lots of names I know. I'll have to pay closer attention to Jimmy Buffett the next time I see him on his hit video with Alan Jackson--something about It's Five O'Clock Somewhere.

Do you play one, Peter?

Can anybody tell this computer whiz how to make a midi file out of a .wav file?

You can't. A .wav file contains actual digital audio while a midi file contains musical instructions for electronically controlled instruments.

Two completely different animals.

Hope you all had a nice holiday. As I think we discussed, Suzi Arden had major surgery in August 2003. On October 22, she and her husband, her brother, sister-in-law, Rottweiler, and Poodle all went on a long tour of the United States. On the 27th of December, they finally made it to see us in Palmdale, California, and left for the East Coast two days later. I have some pictures I'd like to post, but can't remember the maximum size for a jpeg attachment. Can anybody tell me?

Love sharing it with you. Wonderful way to end the year--with old friends. By the way, Suzi sat here and enjoyed all the posts. She still has the Ric bass you all mentioned. I'll post several more pictures.

Thanks for allowing us to learn more about your music history and your association with the first Rickenbacker 12 string Suzi.
