the only drawback I'm finding is that it's a bit LOUD!
Get the others to pump theirs up, Melibee...... rock that church!!

I plugged into my AC30 for the first time in months last Friday. I thought the tubes were on the way out but it seems all they needed was a rest......... sounded great!!

I like my custom Gretsch too, BTW:

It seems that many Rick owners also have a Gretsch or two...... must be something fraternal.

Sweet looking it is too 8)
Yep, you are correct, John. Thanks. It should be G6128 TSP Duo Jet. I might've been thinking about my G6120 TM Chet Atkins when I typed it. Stuck with the Duo Jet reference since the original posting referred to it. Regards....Goofyfoot.

Ric jingle-jangle + Gretsch twang = an easy ticket to ride back to the 60's.

Just within the past hour, I bought my very first Gretsch to keep my Rics company. It's a 92 Country Classic II with the protective plastic still on the pickguard and Lindy Fravin pups. Should be cool.

Amazing what a difference there is between the 2 brands. Sat down and played the Gretsch for a while and then moved to my 330/12......different planet!!! I'm not placing a value judgement, both are fine, fine guitars and each has it's own merits but I have 4 Ricks and 1 Gretsch for a reason.

I'm an EEP >>> Equal Opportunity Player. I split time down the middle with Gretsches and Rics. Gretsch craftsmanship and build quality by the Terada factory in Japan is equivalent to Rickenbacker. Just my dos centavos' worth. Regards....Goofyfoot.

(Self-correction....sort of a "Rain Man" response.)

Uuhhh-errr, that would be EOP ~ Equal Opportunity Player. Regards....Goofyfoot {:=)

It's funny how most of us seem to dabble in both - Rickenbacker United are currently beating Gretcsh Rovers 3-2 at my place.

I just sold my Gretsch this past week, so I would have some money to put toward a good 12-string acoustic.... Right now I'm wanting one badly--And since I can't afford my dream Comstock 12-string, I'm leaning toward a Guild, thanks to the steering of a few friends who have played them.... one of them is a Forumite who has tantalized me with some lovely pictures, LOL!

My duo jet was a cool guitar, but I hardly ever played it--but my friend Ron will be disappointed next time he comes to visit!
