I've seen it all!

I've seen that one before. Can't recall where or when though. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but give me a break!!

That's the instrument I've spent a lifetime looking for! A combined sitar/Ric! (A Sitarbacker? A Rickensitar?). Wow....

From the builder's website:

Love the first sentence. He has a very selective conscience.

I've seen Rick-style sitars before. They're definitely strange.

It should be played through a wood chipper.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!

At first, I thought, this was inevitable...there are just a lot of enthusiasts out there who want to build their own "tribute" Ricks, because the factory would never consider such abominations as this.
Then reading down on the page that John links to, he addresses inquiries (from fellow asylum inmates?) by saying that it's been sold, but he will accept commissions to build more, and they would most probably now be built in India.
And we run into the same issue of trademark violations, this time by an otherwise thoughtful and introspective musician who usually works in an ancient and respected tradition, both in luthiery (gourdiery?) and music.
I hope he gets "the letter" from Rick's attorneys...
