I asked John Hall if he would build me a doubleneck one of these with a 4005 body and 4002 electrics. So far no response. I'm not surprised that the market is being flooded with fake sitars if that's how he's going to be abut it.

It's John's company and he can be any way he wants about it without any considerations whatsoever for copyright infringers. It's very expensive to produce a new instrument. You want a 4005 with 4002 electrics, buy a used one and have it done. It would cost less than it would if Rickenbacker built one from scratch. When I want something the factory doesn't offer, I have a real Rick modified to suit my tastes and needs.

Sigh.....

Maybe I should have put a smiley on my last post.

When I'm wearing these antlers, I'm joking, OK ?

I got your humor when I read that post, Gareth. Enjoyed it, in fact - you touched all the hot spots.
