What is your want list for this year ?

Here's mine (in order of priority) :

4001S or 4003S
4003/S8 or 4008
4003FL
4001CS
eventually 4003/S5

Cheers

Here we go again:

4003/5 Shadow LTD Ed Spirit of 76 RIC Anniversary model, hand delivered by Chris Squire/Sir Paul/Geddy Lee/Roger Glover thru UPS 2nd no damage...

Or 4004/8 CIII figured/quilted maple top or

4003S/12 like the surfrat's...

That's about it
Buy it before someone else does

A 4004 CII 5 string would be nice (transparent red with gold hardware)! Or just a regular 4004. I'm starting to really dig the elegant simplicity of the 4004 models.

On the other hand, I wouldn't mind coming across a slightly older 4003S.

I was actually thinking about this last night while the wine was flowing!

I “need” (my wife loves it when I use that word it in the same sentence with guitars) Image a Fireglo in my collection. But it has to be a mint V63 or a C64 without the reversed headstock. This for some reason is first priority. And then I go back to the 4004Cii. This time I’m leaning towards Jetglo as a 5er!

An additional late 60's/early 70's 21 fret 4001, of course. And some further 70's 4001s (there are quite a lot of them about locally, believe me). And a 4002.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

The 4004Cii5 just like the one Kurt described that I am waiting on...

4002/5 Shadow LTD Ed Spirit of 76 RIC Anniversary model, with black triangle fingerboard inlays hand delivered by Chris Squire/Sir Paul/Geddy Lee/Roger Glover thru UPS 2nd no damage...

Possibly a Rick 8 string...
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

I'd kinda like to find a really nice 4000, no specific finish. And maybe a newer all black 4003 with chrome hardware. But I'll probably settle for whatever falls out of the sky as long as it's a Rickenbacker.

I want a 4001C64S! I got my Rickenbacker because Paul McCartney used one, but at the time (2000), there wasn't a C series bass to buy. I got a 4003, and I love it. Then, along comes the C series, and I have a Homer Simpson moment - DOH! So now I gotta get a C series! I love that bass!

My list is pretty simple:

Highly figured 4002s in natural and walnut.

A Lemmy.

A 4004L with maple board.

A 4004C.

That's all. Image

Jeff, I have a 4004L with maple fretboard, made in 1993, early production with the neck humbucker up against the neck. Very deep tone, but clear. 100% maple body.

That would be the model I'd be looking for, assuming I had the finances to buy it.

Jeff, there is a photo of it in the "photos of your Rickenbacker" thread. There are over 500 entries now, and my photo is a couple hundred back or so. I might be willing to sell it, as another bass is calling me. The finish is excellent, and it's shown with the hard case. Send me an email if you're interested. My email address is listed in my member info.

Jeff, I found where I posted the photo. Go to Archive through July 26, 2003, under "Pictures of your Rickenbacker bass" thread and you will see it there.
