Welcome to The Rickenbacker Recording Showcase

Post by admin »

This new forum will allow those who wish to link to their Rickenbacker recordings, audio or visual, a place to introduce their lastest recording projects.

We will be moving material in other forums to this one as time allows.

I look forward to discussing the recordings here.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Cool! I love hearing what everybody is doing with their Rics, and I'm hoping to have a few things to share with you all fairly soon....

Good stuff Peter. I am glad to see that recorded works by forum members will now be able to be found in one section. Are we allowed to use other instruments as well? I always use a Rickenbacker bass but I have a whole bunch of guitars to choose from and I usually use what sounds best for the recording.

The idea came from our newest member - Ian Gledhill.
It's just great to see how great ideas that seem very logic are being proposed by "fresh" users, once we get used to something and set our mind to it - it would be very hard to change/improve things, in many cases fresh ideas come from fresh people.
So long and thanks for all the fish!

Well, to get to the nitty-gritty, and not meaning to hurt anybody's feelings or diminish Ian's role cause it's his suggestion that caused this section to happen... if i recall correctly, this idea was also suggested by Mr Brian Medway quite a while ago but didn't find the support needed...
EDIT: oh yeah, here it goes... Almost two years ago.

Well, it's not trad Rick stuff, but how 'bout a Rickenbacker surf song?

"Crashing Waves", North of Malibu. George playing lead on his 330 Turq, me on rhythm on my MB660/12...

Sheena you have an incredible memory! Either that or you have a lot of time to devote to research. :D . I had forgotten all about that discourse. It was never anything that I wanted to take over.

North of Malibu is great aren't they Roy?

Peter, very glad to see the showcase. Now I need to get the 12 saddle bridge on my 370 and get on with it.
