Rubber Pickup Grommets?
Is it possible to switch from the foam to the rubber grommets? It seems like the corner pickup screws are not long enough to hold them in place. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

i'm not an expert, but i can tell you my experience from changing my pickups from hi-gain (with foam) to vintage on my '90 360/12
- yes, you are right, the original hi-gains are mounted to the body using only the middle holes, the corner screws are short, just enough to go through
the metal and held with a nut.
- note, that the pickup just doesn't just sit on the foam...the foam is adhesive ...so it maybe a pain to remove the foam from the pickup. (When i
installed the vintage pickups, i just ordered new foam as well)
- in quite sure i read in the Rick forum of Mr.Hall saying the foam reduces feedback better than the grommets

That's good to know. I would have to ruin the foam to test the feedback with the grommets.
Thanks
