Polishing, scratches, Help.
I know this has come up in previous posts but if I get a very fine scratch out with 2000 paper, what do I follow up with,
Zymol (I think that's how you spell it) or is there a step after smoothing with 2000 paper before Zymol?
Sorry if this is a redundent post but just want to be clear.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Check the Reflections of a Curmudgeon section.... Paul W. has given lots of advice on polishing up your Ric! Polishing your guitar with Scratch-X, followed by the treatment with Zymol, is a good bet--I was able to completely remove some light surface scratches from the back of my 325V59 that way.

That's what I was looking for a link to go to for the info.
Much appreciated Melissa.

OK I went back and looked where you said, at quite a few post on the subject, and found just what I was looking for.
Thanks again Melissa.

A lot of us use the combo....

Play on, pick often, jam with any Rickenbacker, and prosper.

Re: Polishing, scratches, Help.
Cool I just picked those up today along with some 600, 800, 1000, 1250, 1500, and 2000 sandpaper.
I do a bit of fret work and like to have different grades of sandpaper on hand.
I found that some swallow scratches can be carefully removed using a set of these grades depending on the depth of the scratch.
Now if I follow up with the Scartch X and Zymol , those areas worked on will probably disappear and bring a nice luster to unblemished areas around.
Thanks for the help!
