Cresting wave faker?

Post by beefandbones »

What do you all think about the Blackshear "Little R" that Willie's Guitars has in stock? Seems like you don't see many fakers with the 620-style cresting wave anyway!

The bolt-on neck ruined it for me.

They sure made a beautiful body design ugly.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but for me that's a good idea gone bad :?

Nope, doesn't work for me, either.

They copied the idea of round top/flat bound back (from the 360) too, but the only thing similar could be the body shape.

Obviously a design 'inspired' by a 425, but gone a bit awry ...

I guess that this must do it for somebody, or else they wouldn't be selling them. However, it's not for me. I could see maybe if it was a couple of hundred bucks or something and a kid that can't afford a real Ric might buy one in a pawnshop or a junk store or whatever, but for the price, I just don't get it.
Thanks!
