hi tony! sadly, i have bought/traded/and sold a ton of instruments since i started out and the one constant has been that i never seem to keep anything for too long. the longest time i kept an instrument was 11 years-my 4002. i reaally wished i had that 4000,as it was a neck through, but i do have a 74 set-neck now, that i like a lot. while i'm at it,here's the b.c.rich i did have for about 5 years, and replaced dimarzios with bill lawrence pickups and cream rings....

This is when the obsession started for me. I just recently found this picture of me from 1979 with the first of several JG 4001s I would own and my second Rick over all. My grandmother died the day after this past Christmas. We found this polaroid among her things. The thing is I don't recall it being taken or ever seeing it before this.

If only I had saved them all............

"truer words were never spoke"-you know it,joey. these were just the tip of the iceberg for me,i had a 66 fender jazz bass in CAR with a matching headstock-probably the most valuable instrument i owned in the current vintage market...but hey,it's about the journey, right? i think i'll go cry now.... i have always had fun with the trading and having something different. it's just fun,and i always love what i have at the time-right now i love my 4004cii a LOT. :D

I think a bunch of us saw Geddy or Chris sporting that cresting wave during the 70's and thought it would be a good idea to emulate our heros. Unfortunately for me :) my first had checkered binding on it and that has caused me to go crazy in the first part of the 00's and try to get some of that magic back.....it's worth every penny. This pic is from 1979 also.....yumm, jetglo.....
